Accessibility Statement

We're committed to making UK Test Hub usable by as many people as possible, including those with disabilities, those using assistive technology, and those on slow or limited connections.

Our approach

UK Test Hub is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at AA level. We design with semantic HTML, sufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigation and screen-reader support in mind from day one — not as an afterthought.

Features that help

  • Responsive layouts that work on any screen size.
  • Keyboard navigation across all quizzes and pages.
  • High-contrast text and large, legible typography.
  • Descriptive link text and clear page structure.
  • Alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Focus states that are clearly visible.
  • No reliance on colour alone to convey information.

Assistive technology we test with

  • VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
  • NVDA on Windows.
  • TalkBack on Android.
  • Keyboard-only navigation across major browsers.

Known issues

We're transparent about where we still have work to do:

  • Some legacy quiz images may lack detailed alt text. We're working to replace these.
  • Hazard Perception clips currently rely on visual cues; an audio-described version is on our roadmap.
